My silly computer is giving me problems, so I haven't written. However, I will try to do some catching up.
We left Knoxville Oct 11 for the Navy campground at Lake Allatoona, GA. Mistake. We didn't fit in the site they had assigned us. After much frustration trying to get the trailer to fit, we left there and headed south. Found a nice campground to spend the nite. The next day we headed to the Northshore Resort on Lake Oconee. Very nice campground with a railroad theme. Plenty of old railroad cars for TM to drool over.
After a few days of R&R, we were off to Montgomery. The Famcamp at Maxwell is so nice and we love spending time with niece Evelyn. As we usually do, we went to the arts and crafts show that Saturday.
DeFuniak Springs FL was our next stop. Our 3rd year to be at the Escapees Chapter 26 Fall rally. It was good to see everyone again and to meet some new folks. We took time to go to Crestview, Fl and have lunch with our friends, Steve and Jessie Coffin. We knew them when on Guam and had only seen them one other time in the last 26 years. Fell right back into it with them like we had not been apart that long. Except for catching up on grandchildren.
As quickly as we got back to DeFuniak Springs, we headed for Waffle House and met with Sheila and Michael for about an hour. They were on their way to New Orleans to visit Michelle. It was great to see them for a while.
We are now in Clermont so that we can spend some time with my sister, Mellan. Unfortunately, she has been in the hospital (just got out Tues nite) and we feel obligated to limiting our time so she can get plenty of rest and build up her strength. She is looking good and seems to be recovering at a steady rate. We are also enjoying attending services at Wildwood and being with our friends there.
We leave here Tues. to go to Bushnell and the Escapees Chapter 27 Fall Rally. Looking forward to that one also.
So, you see, nothing too exciting. We are enjoying our new traveler dog, Fancy. He is a fun boy and keeps us entertained. He is an excellent traveler and has learned to be good when we leave him in the trailer for an hour or 3 - no more constant barking or crying. He has only peed in the house once and that was on a bunch of rags we had in the floor. The rags were there to wipe his feet when we brought him in, therefore no big deal.
God Bless
