The Sunshine is Back!

Now the sunshine is back in my life. Traveling Man is feeling so very much better. The pain is past and his face is looking normal! We are so happy. His sunny personality is back and that makes me and traveling dog happier. And, we can now open the blinds and let sun into the house! Yipee.
Pretty much we didn't do anything while things were so bad for TM. I went to scrapbooking and beading groups. We always have a good time (plus going out to lunch is an added benefit).
As soon as TM felt like going somewhere we traveled all the way to Ocala (about 15 mi) to visit the Don Garlitz Drag Racing Museum. He enjoyed it much more than I did since he was really into the drag racing thing when he was in high school. I still found a lot of it quite interesting, especially when we got to the part with "antique" cars. I put that in quotes because most of them were 1939 and after. Now I wasn't around in 1939, but most of those cars were on the roads in the 50's due to auto production being halted during WWII. It was amazing some of the places they found these cars and an awful lot of work went into restoring them..
TD has pretty much been behaving himself. But he thinks we should not go anywhere without him. Today, he knew we were leaving, so when I took him for a walk before leaving, he went straight for the car. Sorry, TD, not this time.
This past Friday and Saturday we went to a horse show to see our granddaughter ride. The horse park is actually a county park set up for these shows. In fact, part of the 1992 Olympic trials was held there. It is a beautiful park with a great camping area.
Our girl did great. She rides so beautifully. On Friday night she rode a pony, for someone else, that thought it didn't need to be jumping over those things. He would go right up to them and then turn away. She finally got him to jump over all of them, but it took several rounds. On Saturday, she rode her horse in 3 different events and looked great in every one.
TD had a great time. He loved all the commotion and the people who petted and played with him. At first he thought he should go in the ring and play with the horses, but we "talked" him out of that. So, he just ignored the horses.
It was a couple of long days and we were really tired. TD was almost too tired to eat. We all took long naps on Sunday afternoon. But it was worth the long days to be with the family for that time.
Guess that is about all the excitement for now.
