Not as bad as I thought

but i am still too far behind.  Hope someone might still be checking this.  If you are, thanks.
Rain continued as we drove to Knoxville on 5/5 and continued and continued... for an other week.
We muddled thru as we had much to do.  The 10 days we were in Knoxville were a whirlwind of doctor's appointments and visiting.
It was great to be back at Laurel Church of Christ and greet so many of our old friends.  Some knew we were coming and some did not, but they were all welcoming and fun to catch up with.
Also, we both like our new doctor.  He is a good listener and seems to really want to know about us.  We each had 1 hr appts and he spent an hr with each of us.  That's good!
We drove up to Rogersville to visit with Bill and Jean and Monte and Joan.  It was so good to see them.  Bill is 88 now and moves a little slow, but sharp for sure.  Enjoyed some one-on-one time with him when the others went to see the horses.  Guess I forgot to say that Apryl went with us.  Also got the DNA kit ordered for the Emerson family.  Bill will get the kit, do the cheek scrapings (guess everyone has seen that done on CSI) and send it back.  We should have the results in 5 to 7 weeks after that.  Looking forward to it.
We took TM's mom up to Greeneville with us to visit the Bowman relatives.  Everyone was looking pretty good.
On Thursday, we managed to have dinner with our friends Liz, Joanne, and Al.  It was so good to see them all - like old times.  Liz got a job and she says she likes it.  Really hope all goes well, she has had enough already.
On the 16th, Apryl took us to the airport for the flight to Orlando.  The flight was overbooked and they were asking for 15 people to give up their seats and take another flight.  Plus get a $400 voucher.  We didn't because we were afraid we would miss Sheila at the horse show.  We got into the terminal in Atlanta just as the bottom fell out of the skies, delaying everything about 20 min.  That was ok, it gave us time to grab a Krystal.    Both our flights were uneventful, just the way we like them.
Mellan and Richard picked us up at the airport.  We didn't get to visit with them long, as we had to get the car and out to Clarcona to see Mary ride.
We got to Clarcona in time to see her last 3 rides.  She looked good, but Legs was a little off.  Found out later that he had strained a ligament, so it is a wonder he jumped at all.
Sheila had booked her hotel room for 2 nights and we were using it the second night, so we got the key from her.  As soon as Mary finished, we took off for the hotel.
We grabbed some burgers from Five Guys - if you are near one and haven't tried it yet, We highly recommend it.
We were both tired and ready for a good night's sleep - which we got.
More later.
God Bless
