Overdue Update

I know I am way behind, but have totally been busy. Our estimate on the trailer was reasonable, except that they said all the wiring was good. We talked it over and felt that we really did not trust that wiring. Later found out that the service manager who wrote the estimate said the same thing about not trusting the wiring. Since we had found a trailer we really liked, we took the plunge and traded.
What we have now is an Excel Wild Cargo. It is a 39' toy hauler. In a toy hauler the entire back opens and becomes a ramp - meaning we can put the motor scooter inside when we are traveling. When we are parked, we can take it out and the room becomes living space.
The bedroom is small, but functional. The bed is queen size, just like what we had. The washer/dryer is in a closet in the bedroom We had planned to move the washer/dryer from the old trailer; but it seems they just couldn't squeeze it in. Something trivial like it being 2" too tall for the space. So we have purchased a new washer and drier.The nice thing is these are 2 separate units and can be operated simultaneously. The old stackables were one unit and you only operated one or the other.
We have an actual bathroom! No more sink next to the bed. Also, a good deal of storage space in that room. The fixtures are black which should be a ball to keep clean.
Lost a lot of storage space in the kitchen, but gained a large pantry to make up for it. The counter top and sinks are black with silver flecks. Really quite pretty (when shined up). The dining area is a lot different, as there is a fold-down table, but room for the computer. The living room has a corner couch, part of which is a hide-a-bed. The refrigerator actually sits next to the couch across from the kitchen.
There are 3 slides - the bedroom, the living room and the kitchen/dining area. One nice thing is that the entire kitchen is accessible when the slides are closed - as is the bathroom. There are french doors that separate the "living area" from the "garage". Traveling man is already turning that into a man cave, but he may find himself making room for my hobby too.
Oh, and when you open up the back, you can leave the ramp down and pull down a screen; making that a really nice, airy room.
This trailer has 3 axles as opposed to our 2 so we had to buy another tire. We had them change the factory tires for the Michilens (sp?) that were almost new on our trailer.
