Diana!!

We were blessed to attend the Diana Singing again this year. Even tho we missed being there early to help set up and camp; we did attend the Friday night singing. Our friends, the Woodalls, asked if we wanted to ride with them and we jumped at the chance. Doug even made the motel reservations for us.
We had a great trip over, stopping at Cookeville to eat at Crawdaddy's and visiting the railroad museum. Had beautiful weather.
We checked in at the motel round 3pm and then headed over to the singing. It was so good to see friends, many of whom we had not seen since last Sept. And, of course, the good ham sandwiches and fried pies.
The singing was amazing. Probably around 3,000 people and we almost drowned out the trains going by.
We met up with our friend Jean Flake and caught up on all the summer happenings. Then this morning at breakfast, I met a woman who knew Jean years ago. She was really sorry she did not know Jean was at the singing.
At breakfast we sat with a group from MS and found out how many friends we have in common. One couple used to live in Knoxville and are trying to get moved back.
What a small, wonderful world.
On our way back today, we stopped in Fayetteville and did some shopping. South's largest fabric store - whoopee. Had coffee and snack at Elk River Coffee Company, then traveled on.
We had wonderful weather the whole weekend. We had a lovely drive. And we so thoroughly enjoyed being with good friends.
Thanks Doug and Glo.
God bless
