The University of Tennessee football team decided to be a team actually playing a game called football. It was about time, but really too late.:( We watched the game off and on, but were sure glad to see the win. I had my phone in hand as the game ended and immediately called my cousin Monte. They are such HUGE fans. Talked to Joan and everyone was celebrating. We had a nice chat. Too bad that Fulmer is leaving as head coach, but he is loyal to UT and I am sure he will be given a position where he can continue to help the U. There is a grass roots movement to make him the next UT President. Since Carol Peterson showed herself to be a fool and insult not only a major contributor, but the whole school, I do think there will be repercussions.
Anyway. We had a good Thanksgiving day. We got to Sheila's around noon with our chocolate pie, 5-cup salad, and caramel in hand. Michael made a wonderful dinner. The turkey was moist and the dressing was too. We had never had dressing like that, but we surely enjoyed it. We loved having time to visit with all of them. Mary was home all day (even if she was napping a good portion of it). We had a much faster return trip than the last time we came from there. We made it in 1-1/2 hr. If you remember after the shuttle launch, we weren't even half way home in 1-1/2 hrs.
We have found a wonderful congregation in Winter Haven to identify with during our months here. Their preacher has only been here a month, but he is really coming up to speed in a hurry. Everyone is very friendly and make us feel right at home. Now if we can only start to remember which face goes with which name!! One thing, at our age we can always put it down to that.

I hope that you caught the ending of the game when the players carried Coach Fulmer off of the field...it was the appropriate ending for him. A disappointing season to be sure, but winning the last two games was better than we expected after losing to Wyoming!
