Arrived at Lazy Days late on Monday for the rally starting on Tuesday. Tuesday morning up early for free breakfast. Lazy Days provides free breakfast and lunch for campers. Nice little perk and the food was good.
Our chapter does "adoptions". Anyone who is at a Chapter 57 rally for the first time is adopted by another member. TM and I adopted Becky and Lonnie, a couple from Montana. Nice and fun couple. I am enjoying their emails about their travels and about Becky's daughter traveling in Thailand.
Thursday we caravaned to Tarpon Springs and had a good time. Riding with us were Joe and Yolande from Sudbury, Ontario. Enjoyed their company Tarpon Springs is sort of a mini-Gatlinburg tourist place. A century ago, Greek people came over and began sponge diving. Unfortunately, it is not much of a business anymore. But they have made the most of the area with boat trips, Greek restaurants and tourist shops. We did not go on a boat trip as we felt the day was too cool to be out on the water. We ate at the Parthenon Restaurant because it was the first place I saw serving lamb. Wonderful food.
It was so good to be with friends and make new friends.
We came back on Saturday, hooked up and rested. Getting up every day at 7am is not our usual.
Oh, and TD2 (Fancy) had a good time too. He got to go to Tarpon Springs with us. Of course he was mostly in the truck, but he was a good boy.
Today, Monday, I got to sleep in - yahoo! Felt really good - and felt good to take an afternoon nap. We sure are spoiled. We will see how tomorrow goes when we have to be up at 5:30am. Ugh! Definitely in for a nap tomorrow afternoon.
God Bless
