While we were at Coaticook Gorge, we told that there was a super ice cream place near by. The locals bragged about it. Neither TM or I could understand when they said the name of it (French, you know), but we were told it was a big building and we couldn't miss it. So, who thinks we found it right away? Silly people, of course we missed it. Mostly because we were not looking in the right place, but that's beside the point. The next day we walked all around Compton looking for it, but nothing seemed right, so we just forgot it. Then we ran into a lady who was telling us about it and she gave us some distances and landmarks and off we went. Again we missed it the 1st time by. In our defense, we were not looking for a factory. Yep, an ice cream and cheese factory with an ice cream parlor in the front. Were we ever glad! The ice cream was exceptional - they use real cream in the manufacture. For $5.89 we each got a humongous scoop of ice cream that was way yummy. We even bought some to bring home. ( no we are not keeping it til we get back to TN!) The next day we drove into Coaticook, had dinner and stopped again at the ice cream place. Wish we had found it the 1st day we were there, but it is probably best we didn't.
Storybook Land
Driving the back roads of Quebec as we left the campground headed for NY was so beautiful. The older homes with all the "gingerbread" and various colors, plus the amazing flowers were great. It was indeed like pictures I have seen from the European countryside.
Luckily the rain did not start until we were on the interstate close to Montreal, but it did continue until early evening. That means when we got to the campground, we had to set up in the rain. Thank goodness this is a level spot and we did not have to play around with a lot of blocks trying to get the thing liveable. Our spot had lots of water standing, so we were thrilled, not. Believe it or not, this is sandy soil and by the time we were set up, it had pretty much soaked in. The rain moved on and we ended up with a lovely evening.

Glad y'all are having such a great time traveling. I enjoy reading about the places you go, sometimes I imagine myself there enjoying the places too and then a kid screams from somewhere in the house and I am back here in TN. Mom wanted me to let you know she got the bracelets, they fit and she loves them :)
