Just in case

there is anyone left checking this blog --
It has been a busy 3 weeks, but somehow I just didn't think too many of you would be interested in all our doctor appointments.
Traveling Man did get to the dentist to get his cap started. He had to go to Greeneville for the 2nd appt. so that they could get everything done in our time frame. Kind of nice then to have the dentist take us to lunch. (maybe he wanted to be sure Don ate soft foods). No, really, he is a member at Laurel and he finished up with TM at lunch time.
It was also a good opportunity to go see relatives and we had a nice visit. We also checked out a county campground, but it seems to be full of permanent residents. While on the back road, we came across a marker for Greeneville College. It was started in 1794 and eventually was moved and became part of Tusculum. Who knew? TM did get some photos.
It was great to lunch with Brenda and Nita again. And I did manage to get in a few hours of volunteering at the hospital. I also got to attend the annual volunteer dinner, where it was good to see old friends.
We had a chance to lunch with Liz and Tim and Al and Joann. Just like old times - except Joann didn't make me pick the place! Liz had already done that.
Traveling dog has had a good time being with Cleo and Maya. They all get along great. He slept in our room a couple of nights, but since then he has been sleeping in the master bedroom. He took over one of Cleo's beds that is really too small for him, but he doesn't seem to care. Cleo just sleeps up on the bed with her people.
A and J went to Key West for a few days and had a great time. Cleo sure did miss them, but she ate regular - no pineing away for that gal.
Being back at Laurel has been so grand. Our friends, Ken and April, had us over to dinner one night and it was so delightful. It has been good seeing so many friends again. Some have kept up with us via this blog.
Just one more week here and then we head for VA. TM's mother is going with us.
We are just praying that TN RV gets done with the camper. They fixed one thing and broke another. The hydralics on the bedroom slide now has a leak, so they are trying to get the part to fix it. Also we ordered a futon to take the place of the sleeper sofa (that no one in their right mind would sleep on anyway). We are supposed to have it Mon., 12th. We know we can get in the camper and are trying to figure how we will get the sofa out - might have to hack it to pieces.
God Bless
